“Speed Edge” edge protection system is the predecessor the Smart Edge. It is a modular engineered edge protection system that utilizes and “anchor” and “panel” arranged to provide a re-useable edge barrier. The most common “anchor” is a compression post that extends between the walking surface to the bottom of the upper floor. Compression posts are non-penetrating and meet OSHA requirements across the entire span, thus allowing for panels to be stacked. There are also anchors designed for situation where there is no upper surface. Other non-penetrating anchor options include  slab grabs and parapet wall clamp. When conditions require, a single penetration post is available for 42″
